Sans Arabic
Bloxwap Sans Arabic and Bloxwap Mono Arabic — a contemporary interpretation of the Naskh style with a rational and flexible design.
Bloxwap Sans Arabic and Bloxwap Mono Arabic are companion families that add Arabic script to Bloxwap Sans and Bloxwap Mono: a contemporary interpretation of the Naskh style with a rational and flexible design, built from the same rounded strokes as the Latin and joined on a shared baseline. Each is a complete font: it also contains the Latin, Greek and Cyrillic of its parent, so mixed text such as prices and tickers stays in one design.

Using it
The easiest way is the combined stylesheet: font-family: "Bloxwap Sans" then renders Arabic from Sans Arabic automatically, and the Arabic file is only downloaded by pages that contain Arabic. Mark up Arabic content with its language and direction:
<p lang="ar" dir="rtl">الرصيد المتاح</p>/* the complete Arabic font under its own name */
.arabic { font-family: "Bloxwap Sans Arabic", "Bloxwap Sans", sans-serif; }- Joining is automatic. Initial, medial, final and isolated forms (
init, medi, fina, isol) and required ligatures such as lam-alef are applied by the browser's text shaper. Do not toggle them in CSS. - No italics. Arabic has no italic tradition; italic text uses the upright design.
- Taller metrics. The Arabic fonts use an ascender of 1060 and a descender of −440 (Latin: 960 / −240) to make room for marks above and below. Set an explicit
line-heightwhen mixing scripts. - Variable weight. Like the parent families, the Arabic companions are variable from 100 to 900.
